On October 25th, 2016, on the sunny afternoon, the Peking University Youth Association of Foreign Affairs was invited by the Slovak Embassy in China to visit Slovak Ambassador’s Mansion and to have an in-depth experience with Ambassador Dušan Bella and diplomat Mr. Lukáš Gajdoš.
After arriving to the ambassador's residence, diplomat, Mr. Lukáš Gajdoš introduce the Embassy to us. While waiting for the ambassador, Mr. Gajdoš also led us to enjoy the exhibition "Slovakia in the eyes of Chinese children". There we have discussed the interesting places – such as the castles of Slovak Republic as Slovakia is the country with most castles per capita in Europe.
After the Ambassador arrival to the hall and warmly welcomed the arrival of the students, our activities officially began. Mr. Gajdoš showed us a Slovak scenery video and gave us a presentation about Slovak traditional dance, music, traditional holiday and Sino-Slovak relations. He also introduced to us sounds of different Slovak traditional instruments. After the presentation we had an opportunity to have discussion with Ambassador.
After the presentation we have enjoyed the traditional Slovak food under the ambassador's hospitality such as Slovak traditional Christmas dish and had an unique opportunity to learn more about Slovak customs by chatting with Slovak Diplomats and Ambassador.
